Leaf chains are designed for high load, slow speed tension linkage applications .
Often, they are specified for reciprocating motion lifting devices such as forklifts or as counterweight chains for elevators or telescoping equipment, e .g . cranes. The chains are typically supplied in a specific length and connected to a clevis at each end. The clevis may accommodate “male” ends (inside links) or “female” ends (outside links), as required.
