Leaf chain (BL), ANSI
Leaf chains are designed for high load, slow speed tension linkage applications.
Often, they are specified for reciprocating motion lifting devices such as forklifts or as counterweight chains for elevators or telescoping equipment, e .g . cranes. The chains are typically supplied in a specific length and connected to a clevis at each end. The clevis may accommodate “male” ends (inside links) or “female” ends (outside links), as required.
