Duplex connecting chain links are used to connect the two ends of a chain together. The riveted type provides a very strong link, and has a similar fatigue strength as the other links in the chain. Dacrotized coating is the best anti-corrosion treatment for carbon steel chains, next to the use of stainless steel chains.
